Susqya Williams

Susqya Williams is a veteran in the South African art world, having paid her dues by working in many different fields as diverse as graphic design to tapestry weaving and various commissions that are held in private collections all over the country. She is adept in different mediums but holds tapestry weaving as her first love.

She matriculated at Clapham High school in Pretoria and went on to complete a diploma in art at the Pretoria school of art. She has completed various supplementary design courses and traveled through Europe researching art trends in weaving.
She has received numerous awards for her art making skills, worked as an art teacher at institutions throughout the country and been commissioned to do many prestigious tapestry commissions.

Presently she resides in the karoo and facilitates art and design classes as well as simple loom weaving.
